I got this vacuum because I was looking for one that worked for both hardwood floors and carpets since I have both. I don't have any major complaints about it and I've had it for 6 months now. I really like the bagless feature with the container you just dump out after every use. I've even washed the 2nd filter it has. I understand their is a 3rd filter that needs to be replaced like once a year and I bought an extra one but will hold off on replacing it as long as I can.
I have a dog and it picks up her fur-balls well. I even vacuum the stairs with ease. I did a lot of research before I bought this and if you have both hardwood floors and carpeting this is definitely one to consider. The only complaint I can think of is I would like the cord to be 6-12 inches longer.

I used this vacuum one time in my entire home and seemed to be ok. The next time I used it the wand kept seperating from the base of the vacuum. In addition there is a sorry little clip at the bottom that kept popping off. You can't use the vacuum without the clip. So, I continued to put it back on. Time and time and time again. Remember this is only the 2nd time I had used the vacuum. The last time the clip popped off the vacuum sucked it up while the darn thing was falling apart. Took the vacuum apart and got the clip. Put the clip back on and then.....NO SUCTION!!!!! Belt was fine. This is the WORST vacuum I have ever owned. I returned it and got me a Hoover again. They last forever. My lesson...if you find a great vacuum and it lasts 5 years don't go out and buy a different brand that you think might be better. This vacuum is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!

Was notimpressed with the vacuuam. Not enough suction. Accessories are not attached to vacuuam. Returned and had to pay over $50 shipping plus only received part of my payment back because of a restocking fee. Will never order a vacuuam over the net again!

I couldn't pay the money for a Dyson and I wanted a bagless cannister and after researching all the reviews I could find, purchased this one.
One Amazon reviewer warned me about the tiny plastic clips on the dirt container so I was extra careful everytime I emptied it. Well after 1 month, the plastic clip on one side just exploded onto the floor at my slight touch. I found that I could still put the dirt cannister back in the vacuum and it would hold together fine, however only a cheapskate idiot would put such a flimsy plastic part on such an intergral piece of the vacuum. When I called Eureka to complain, they said that it was user error, not a warranty problem! Needless to say my next vacuum will be a Dyson. Given the plastic parts all over this vaccuum, I'll be lucky if I can get 2 years out of it.
But one good thing is that at least this vacuum has a good motor and does pick up lots of dirt - we have 3 indoor/outdoor dogs and live on a farm so I need a vacuum that really can pickup stuff. So as long as the plastic parts hold up this vaccuum is good at what its supposed to do, suck up dirt. When more plastic parts break or fall off, I'll try to update this review.

I bought this vacuum a couple months back as a replacement for a Hoover windtunnel that died for the second time. I'm done with hoover. After checking reviews and prices and many sites I bought this one. FREE Shipping was a bonus and it arrived earlier than thought. Works really well on the carpet. It has a suction control on the base of the unit as well as by the on/off switch. I always keep both of them turned all the way up. Came with an overly large regular floor brush and a power paw. I love the power paw works great on furniture and when you turn the suction control down a bit on lamp shades, so quick and easy. The dirt cup is great. I have had no problems with that at all. Very large holds more than 3 rooms of dirt for me. I also find that it works really great on the berber carpet in my basement I have a Altima ( by Eureka) down there but it really does not work well. The WhirlWind works much better. The unit is so easy to push around. Even more old canister was a bit to hard to push. This whole unit is light. Which to some might make it feel cheaply made. But when you are lugging and pulling from room to room it will be a plus.
These days it hard to find a good vacuum for not too hefty a price. The real test of this vacuum will be how long does it last. I'm hoping for a very long time. I think this a good buy for anyone that needs a vacuum.
